Maranda Mission

On the second Sunday after schools opened this year I got invitation to preach in Maranda. The patron , a long time friend, brother in Christ and comrade scheduled me to minister on the 18th March 2012.He later called two weeks to the mentioned date to confirm my availability, of which was as we had agreed.
By 7:00 am,on the material day, I was at the Church compound accompanied by our son Joshua.Over 1500 gathered under the tree where services are normally conducted. The Principal,Deputy, Cu Patron, two clergymen and other teachers were part of the congregation. The service was lively and the congregation very attentive. The Principal in his short address appreciated the I am a friend of the school, and that I have always honored invitations to minister to that congregation.
I preached on REJECTION.Over 50 students gave their lives to Christ and were welcomed to the CU. I urged them to study God's word and to testify among other basics. Then I gave invitation to our T.F. Nyanza camp.I also prayed for various needs and challenged them to live by God's standard which is above any other set by humankind.
We were treated to a heavy breakfast as is the practice.Normally, that session is the time for further sharing with the staff that attend the service.
